BEIRUT ART DAYS: AN EVENT TO UNITE LEBANON
THROUGH ART, MUSIC AND CULTURE THIS JULY
WHAT IS “BEIRUT ART DAYS”?
Myriam Shuman, Director of l’Agenda Culturel, states: “From the 3rd to the 6th of July 2024, Lebanon will pulsate with the rhythm of art and culture.
Galleries, museums, theaters, and cultural sites throughout Lebanon will host a variety of artistic and cultural experiences on their premises, including exhibition tours, performances, film screenings, explorations of private collections, lectures, concerts, debates, art excursions, artist discussions, and much more.”
L’Agenda Culturel reports that Lebanon is home to 90 galleries and art foundations, along with 110 cultural spaces and 102 museums. Despite challenging conditions, these institutions have managed to produce nearly 2,000 events and performances annually, demonstrating a commendable resilience.
Shuman confirms, “Over 60 art and culture entities, along with more than 90 locations, will participate in the inaugural Beirut Art Days. They have eagerly crafted distinctive cultural agendas to commemorate this occasion.
This event sends a message to the globe: Beirut will forever be a metropolis of beauty and innovation, and art will continue to be our greatest asset.”
